It's scary how easy it is to justify bigger lol. I'll just do a built hp 44 up front and stick with 37s or go 60s front and rear and go all out lol

What's this 9" everyone is refering to? Does it fit in the stock housing or do you swap everything?

I mean a Currie 9" is butter. My ideal setup involves them front-rear but also a small displacement motor... and tons of gearing.

9" is a ford 9", completely different third member and rear end, tons of options and available pats for em and very strong, the rear end in my truck can easily handle like 800 horse no prob lol

Anyone interested in some Relentless Fab ditch light brackets that are bed lined? They have been mounted to the truck, but I decided I want a different vendors. Like-new. Prefer a local sale and will let go of the pair for $30.

I saw that one as well but I think would much rather own the stocker for the price. Still cool as shit!!

Eh, again don't use it with your wheel turned to lock and wedged up against a rock and you should be good. Turn it on to go straight up an obstacle then turn it off. People pop cvs all the time without lockers! FWIW your truck would be sick SAS or LT I would have a hard time deciding if I were you.

My front end can too ;) #teamruffstuff

Some ads to keep it relevant

Badass nodular 9" 3rd member, man I bet 40 spline RCV shafts are expensive haha
    https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/6066211838.html

Also for those curious about where to start, you can either go junkyard or brand new.
    https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/6085359028.html
So you start off with a cheapo 9" axle, your going to add disc brakes and hubs to retain 6 lug, a new 3rd member, locker, an axle truss and all the labor that goes along with that.

Might as well go with a ruff stuff full floater or Currie f9, you'll probably end up spending a bit more but the junkyard no matter how much money is thrown at it will never be as strong!

I've got an old 80 something Econoline Ford 9" with 31 spline currie axle shafts sitting in the garage. Just the axle and and shafts, nothing else. If anyone's interested HMU. I was told 68" WMS on it. So would work well with LT guys, or SAS guys I suppose. Bought it on a whim like a year ago, decided I didn't feel like sourcing all the parts for it, would rather just order up a fully assembled one from Ruffstuff and burn on some shock/leaf mounts.

Ruffstuff doesn't sell a turnkey rear end just an FYI, still would need axle shafts and the brake caliper brackets welded on which can be kind of a pain in the cock to get welded on straight

For anyone who may be interested, if you want to get a hold of me PM me, I don't check TW regularly but I'll get the email.

Sweet Jesus that's wide! This is 67" in front, bottom is with an additional 3" wms after new wheels, I couldn't imagine being much wider in the smaller 1st gen body.

Yeah those brackets are dumb, that's SOLIDs part though not Ruff Stuff if I'm not mistaken. They should be back on the tube a bit with an offset.

Sorry to detail the thread guys! Info is info right?

Yea mines that wide to match the 83" track width on the front lol, and yea SOLID's mount are junk, I used Ruffstuff's mounts and it was a lil easier but yea they need to offer a joggled caliper bracket
