Best reason I can come up with to wait; There's always a chance that rims get scratched and/or dinged while changing tires. It happens. Often. The more often they're changed, the higher the probability your new rims will get damaged. Now wouldn't it be an absolute shame if they got damaged putting "temporary tires" on?

Yes! I love those Rims, had similar ones in the Tundra I sold. Those darn rugged terrains are tough tires too. Put maybe 55k miles on them with tread on them still.

 

Yeah I hear ya really want a CMC trying to see if can find a way to make that work but doesn't look good.

@ChadsPride I'll more than likely end up going with 265 anyways. Maybe by the time those are about worn I'll be able to get the CMC done and can go with 285's lol

Would like these in a 285/70/17 but they are very expensive

BAMF fill plates are $20

Im sure you could find a local member with a welding machine

Or pretty much any local shop that does welding

The whole process including paint too less than 1hr
