Just my humble opinion, but generally I don't like anything fake on my vehicles. If it doesn't have a function or a purpose I don't want it. So if I can't have real beadlock wheels actually beadlocking to the tires, I won't go with fake beadlocks. This would also apply to fake hood scoops, fake carbon fiber, etc.

But again, JMHO and no disrespect intended towards people with different opinions.

Yes, but what is it's purpose?

 

Many 33" tires will rub at that spot, so guys "chop" the corner off to alleviate that and save the tire.
