I'm going to be sewing the fabric for mine soon. Sewing is that not that hard, the way I started was by just diving right in. It gets expensive if you start with your expensive materials first. Buy a cheap machine, you can get them for about $40, and some fabric. Start messing around and you'll get the hang of it.

If you are using tent fabrics like ripstops then that cheap machine might still work. It doesn't take much to sew those, but you want heavy canvas then look into a walking foot.

    I didn't need it fast... :p

When i tried to build my own foxwing awning, i couldn't find anyone who would do it at all... Tried the canvas shops, fabric shops, nada.

Iggy I've been looking your thread over, which machine did you go with? I've got a 20 year old Juki WF Machine that I do all my leather and heavy fabrics on.

I borrowed a machine and tried with cheap stuff, ended up with holey fabric and birds nests of thread. So i decided it wasn't my thing.

Used that all the time after my 6 Sigma cert. Detail is you pick 2 and get the inverse of the non-picked item. Ergo: Select Fast & Cheap-> Poor Quality, Fast & Good-> Expensive, etc. Never has been disproved either.

In other news, does anyone know why the Spanish radio stations always seem to be interviewing Elmo? I don't know what the f$ck they are saying but I'm fairly certain they all have Elmo on regularly.

I got a Sailrite LZ-1 portable industrial. I used to have an industrial but sold it because I didn't have the room for a desidcated sewer.

It takes a bit of practice, but the first few tries are always like that. Even for me, I go slow and make sure everything is straight and working right. Keep at it man! Getting in front of the machine is the hardest thing.

    Thanks, that was last year.

I'm currently working on getting the truck up and running for an open ended expedition trip, so plenty of other stuff high above on priority list.

Its just branded by HK its made by someone else like GSG or some other spin off company they are fun guns to shoot. Gets you a MP5 clone with out the price tag and ammo cost.

Sounds right there was a whole law suit from HK on the GSG brand models.
