No problem, just make sure you find those kick Panel pigtails off a donor vehicle to make your life easier.

As far back as I possibly could. It's easier to solder wires to the pigtails when you have a longer pigtail. The pigtails are nice to have since you can still unplug the doors.

I think it comes on the truck already. My '98 PreRunner had it. There were two slots, one for the speaker connector and one for the doors. I only had the speaker connector spot occupied, the other one was empty since I previously had all manual doors.

The 2004 connectors I used fit fine in them. I took the plastic guard from the donor truck regardless.

So the donor vehicle will have the plug at the bottom (Mine did not) that plug is the one I'm tracing back and cutting as far back as I can?

Not the plug I'm referring to its the white plastic that holds the plugs.

Everything you see below (in exception of the transmission relay, I cut that by accident) is what you should take from the donor truck. The plastic shroud that holds the plugs is what I believe we were referring to. The truck had some rodent issues since the cable sleeving was chewed through (especially on the transmission relay)

I was in a hurry and I cut one of the connectors too short. Don't do that. Cut as far back as possible. Cut away the other non-door wiring so you can get maximum pigtail length.

    I took these from a '98 SR5 Extended Cab.

Which year Taco's can I pull from if I have a '03? Is it the same set up? (I think I remember you saying above that it would work?)

Any year as long as it has the same connectors as your donor harness. That '98 harness pictured has the same connectors as the '04 harness I used. (Doublecab connectors will vary though, one of the connectors are different since there are rear doors). Take a picture of your harness connectors and I'll pull the Toyota diagram and part number for you.

@mechanicjon was trying to help me source the connectors through the original manufacturer Toyota used called "Yazaki", according to a rep there they discontinued the connector in 2015, which also coincides with the end of the 2nd generation of Tacoma. So I'm presuming you can find these connectors all the way up until 2nd gens.

If you have all the door components everything should be bolt on. My passenger window regulator was too far gone from the rollover so I went to pick-n-pull an used a window regulator out of a '99 4Runner. I'm using 2004 Limited Doublecab components in my 1998 PreRunner Extended Cab. I wanted to keep the original '98 speaker harness (since the '04 uses a tweeter absent on pre-'01 models) so I simply merged the three harnesses together.

I will shoot you a pick as soon as I can. My truck is in the parking lot and our ship is moored up on some pilings about 100 yards offshore. I think with your diagrams you posted, once I find a donor vehicle, I'm going to cut back that harness and give it a go. I need to also grab the door locking regulator as well. For some strange reason I forgot all about the door locks

This would be easy enough in reverse as well (putting manual locks/windows in my power lock/window truck) I would assume, with the right few bits (door panels and the pieces for the crank windows)?

Yeah it's that simple. Just pull all the power door stuff out, and install the manual items. You'll have to retain the power door harness to keep your speakers functional unless you swap for a manual door harness.

I know I’m late to the party , I have a 02 and I bought all the power everything from a rolled truck , I installed all the components and had a question , using the power doors/locks/mirrors is it possible to tap in the manual harness ? Or do I have to run a harness to the other door ? I took the connectors from the donor truck , was just wondering if I can just tap in the original harness ? Or do I have to run some wires , thanks guys
