I rode the giant trance yesterday and wasnt that much of a fan. Also rode a specialized camber and it was decent. Favorite test ride so far. And yea i will be interested to check the lock out features in person. I plan to go look at it sometime this week i hope.

I recently purchased a Scott Spark 950 and actually use and enjoy the twinlock feature quite a bit. Living in Colorado you can go from flat to up hill in a hurry so it's nice to lock the fork and shock right away without stopping or losing momentum.

Since you were originally eyeing transition, you may want to see and compare the head angles on some frames. The head angle in case you arnt aware is what dictates how vertical or slack your fork is in relation to the frame. I personally like a head angle that is around 65-66. The scott genius seems to have a little bit more of a cross country angle than say the transition you were looking at. This isn't a big deal, but it might help if you can identify whether if you like a slacker head angle on a bike. A slacker head angle is what many all mountain/downhill set ups have as you work the bike a little more from a front end perspective.

I have a brand new tacoma and I was wondering if a shuttle pad with MTB's will scratch my tailgate? I'm just trying to keep my truck in pristine exterior condition for the first couple of months at least. Nothing is worse than washing your vehicle and going over every scratch you see.

probably, grit and dirt will get between the pad and tailgate and could rub over time.

I got some clearbra installed as I plan on carrying bikes a lot and will have the pad on 80% of the time.

I take mine off when it gets dirty and I clean the tailgate and vacuum the inside of the pad. No noticeable scratches in my experience. My Race Face pad is super soft on the inside though, so maybe that helps. I haven't looked at other pads to see if they're as smooth on the inside though.

    I picked up a barely used 2016 Orbea Loki yesterday, it is maybe 1/2 size large for me but I already ordered some cf riser bars and a shorter stem. Got it for $650.00, not a single scratch or chip anywhere on the thing; maybe it was an unwanted gift? Anyhow, here is what it looks like;

Can't wait to hit the trails this weekend! I've been wanting to try a Plus bike for a while now.

Air was leaking out of my stem and it was too big for stans sealer but found out the culprit. Busted o ring. Anyone know where to find some? I tried lowes yesterday going to try ace hardware and home depot next. Or I should just go to my local bike store lol

Ordering the stems and Stans to go tubeless on the Trek, also going to get some extra stuff like a Chainstay protector, Crank Boot protector, some 3M Mastic Tape, and possibly some Race Face Chester Pedals since my pedals suck when even a little wet and crap like that...

This is the correct Stans right?
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00159O3NU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AQKFGZPZ78NN5

    And correct Stems?
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004YIE294/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A15MD58ELY2BCA

Says they will fit the Bontrage Tubeless Ready Rims that I have.

Good luck with that stuff. I need to go tubeless one day, but man that install is such a pain in the ass everytime.

Thanks. Hopefully having the ARB compressor will help with the install. Current rims already have the rim tape and are ready for tubeless, so will see how that goes.

The compressor is all you need to set that initial bead. Once set you're good to go. I'm assuming the rims already have rim tape to cover the spoke holes?

Correct. Tubeless ready rims with the rim tape on them already.

I went the extra step and put gorilla tape over the tape that was already on my rims. Did it towards the end of last season and I've only needed minimal top ups since then.
