if you like the look of them then no. If you think that you are gaining some huge amount of clearance back there then now you are not. If you look at the angle that your shackle hangers sit at then take a straight line back to your bumper, You literally gain 1/2". There is no big mystery that they are calling them HC bumpers for marketing purposes. You gain a little bit in the fender but nothing to write home to mama about. If it your DD and you like the look then go ahead i say. but if you are doing it because your going to gain all of this clearance on your Daily driver then your retarded. how much clearance do you need to drive the interstate back and forth to work? When i was building mine i tried to justify it to myself cutting the bed sides, It just did not justify the hassle and effort.

I am almost intentionally planning to tear my rear bumper off at Moab to assist with the process of putting HC on just sayin'. I think @TacoAlaMode is in a similar boat haha

I just don't do fish tacos lol, and I can barely do Hardee's. If you've ever been to the Arab Hardee's you'd understand, nastiest fast food joint in the world.

All the Offroads needs to at least log the issue with Toyota. That is how a TSB gets created. Also, should it be a bigger problem later, you are documented that you had the problem and they did not fix it, your costs to be repaired could be reimbursed.

I put a dent in mine already, so I'm already angled for a new bumper. I just need Moab to finish it off. I'm not decide on cutting the fenders at this point thou.

Well if it isn't your DD, and you decide to not cut fenders, the first stump or log you land on that fucks up your bedside panels, you'll need to do more than just cut for a HC if you don't want your truck looking like shit too. That's how I look at it. I'd rather go ahead and protect the bed side panels themselves since it isn't a DD anymore...most days.

I say even if it is your DD and you want to do more than dirt trails and pavement, because you're a badass, then you should protect your bedside panels. HC isn't just for the "clearance" it's full protection to the rear end, but apparently that isn't justifiable lol
