I completely understand not wanting to hurt your brand new truck. But just as an FYI there are plenty of people that have gone out there in a stock tacoma and did just fine. There are also different difficulty lines out there.

At the jamboree there will be a few guided runs on the trails for people that are new just to make sure you stay on the correct trails and such.

Check out our DFW BS thread, i know its a bit away from you but there are some guys in there that will also be going out to the jamboree. A few of them have taken their stock 3rd gens out to a few OHV parks and were very surprised as to what they could do stock...

Nuther welcome from Austin. If you are at the Jamboree in Gilmer in a few weeks, introduce yourself. We'll be there too. Congrats.

    Welcome!

Definitely check out the Jambo if you can... it is well worth the trip over to my side of Texas.

Stayed in Abilene at the state park there about two weeks ago. Even though it was dark when we go there and left in the morning... looked like a nice place to camp with some nice camp sites.

Pre-registration is closed, but you can register at the gate starting Thursday when the gate to the park opens.

Oh im not scared to hurt a new truck by wheeling it, wheeled my last 2 jeeps the same day I took em off the lot. Its more of being unfamiliar with IFS and the manufactures of the toyota off road scene. So from what I'm seeing is the components interchangabe from the gen 2 to the gen 3? I see alot of the kits being the same...
