Stealership charges people damn near $300 for an oil change, tire rotation, and spark plugs?! Da fuq?!o_O

Only reason I still take my truck in is service plan "included" with purchase.

Plus when they're working "in there" they can spot all the other stuff that needs to be worked on.

"belts are worn" is a popular one

or "time for a new struts" etc etc.

    A few things
I got myself a 6 ton (I believe) hydrolic bottle jack. I hated hat piece of shit that came with the truck, and some accessories from safejacks.com. They make extensions and axle cradles and other stuff.

So whats the end goal though? Are you thinking for the trail you need a lift or more like DIY in the driveway stuff?

Obviously the high-lift/bottle jack are mobile and super handy to have in the vehicle.

But if you're working in the driveway a floor jack and some tall jack stands are the way to go.

That's exactly what i though when I saw that. Maybe get it high enough to put a jack stand under the axle though.

Sure it would. Not ideal but a rock, log, block of wood, jackstand then lower.
Not something i would want to do on the side of a hwy. But it could be done.

you mean, you dont park in the Hybrid/EV parking spots when you can?

As far as im aware there is no ticket they can write for that. So i always park there, most times they're open and closest.

    Edit*
Yeah very true, I feel like usage for this would be very specialized

I retract the previous statement, why do I always forget about using jack stands? Idiot...

With the 10% discount from 4WP, it's $1,026 before taxes, compared to $1,692 for the Coopers. Difference is $666.... just do it

Thinner sidewalls, bit you can buy 3 replacements for the difference.

As far as hi lifts in general. I have one but i have never used it on my truck yet.
Its only for that emergency that i have it. I have used it on others rigs. They have their place. But like said above. Get a good bottle or floor jack and stands. Harbor freight has a decent floor jack.aluminum light weight and dose the job.

If you plan on getting sliders in the future, a hilift is a great investment. I used it as a winch for my Scout. Didn't work very well, but I was alone and got unstuck. Like others have said, you can jack from the hitch too. Kinda sketchy for a tire change, but it could work if you're creative.

This is what I would get:

    IMG_7823.PNG.jpg

You'll instantly rip off your stock bumpers and be forced to buy some armor, which will work with the hilift.

    Problem solved. ;)
