Sad day for me today. Made the appointment for Monday 3:00 to have Oreo put down. She lived a great life. Cant wait to spend the weekend with her

Just had some puppies out of the black on the left and brown on the right.

Will get pictures of said puppies when they get older if anyone's interested in a new friend.

Just went through this 2 weeks ago, called on Monday and they couldn't get us in until Friday. It was a long yet short week, great and bad. But am thankful we had the extra time. In the past I always waited too long this time was likely a bit longer than I should but not by much. And am thankful for the better memories at the end.

The Nova Scotia Duck Toller in my avator was 13. Took that picture when I brought him home and he was underfoot at the reloading bench so picked him up and put him in an empty keg of Red Dot gunpowder. He stayed there just long enough for me to take this picture.



Have a lot of memories and pictures over the years. And a lot of great times. Still look for him in the mornings sometimes and through the day.





He is no longer in pain and the birds are plenty and slow where he is now. Still hurts typing this and I still cry. Really miss him a lot, have a 2 year old Toller pup to help some. But it is not the same without him.

 

Right now I own my first dog that's really mine, and not just a family pup. I dread the day that he dies, because I know it's going to hurt so much. Stay strong my friend.

 

I feel your pain brother. It's been almost three years now that I had to put down our old girl Velvet. She was a 13 year old Newfoundland we rescued. And, also the best dog I ever had. She's dearly missed. I still get teary-eyed when I think about her.

Same here. My lab is my first dog that's really mine and I can't imagine life without him. And I haven't even had him six months.
