303 Protectant

Is it just me or does this look and smell just like Armor All spray?

 

I have used it for years and it never reminded me of Armor all, that said, my bottles last a long time and they may have changed the formulation since my last purchase but hope not.

 

You ever use it on your tires? I just used it on my black trim pieces but I was thinking about other uses.

 

I have used it on Tires and my Door Weatherstrip and many other areas.

 

303 is the best hard plastic protectant that I've used. I'm sure there are better things but for the average joe that doesn't own a super car, 303 is hard to beat. The way that it applies and the dull shine is what really won me over.

For rubber seals, use a high quality silicon grease like shin-etsu or something meant for convertible top seals. I use this on my tonneau cover seals.

For tires, find any decent tire shine that does NOT contain petroleum distillates. That stuff will stain your driveway and lead to browning and cracked tires after sustained use

 

No not at all. Armor all is oil in a spray bottle.

303 is a protectant just like armorall, but it's supposed to be superior in how it protects and looks. the best *feature* that 303 claims is that after applying it and then touching it, you don't feel any oily residue left over. it originally was named 303 aerospace protectant and was rated for aerospace usage. after it became popular for automotive, they created an automotive line and called the same formulation "303 protectant" for the automotive market. they've told me that the formula has never changed, even when switching from aerospace to automotive.

every customer that has ever asked me for it, has always said that it's the best stuff on the market by far. all the new customers ive introduced this product to based on what's been said has never gotten back to me as to whether it's actually worked as others have said or not. try it out as a new customer and let me know if it's worth it!

 

There's a three year old ring on my patio when it rains. I sprayed my hot tub then moved it. Water doesn't penetrate that ring still. Also, it's the best thing I've found to hide paint scratches.

303 is good stuff. I had an Acura TL that I armor all'ed like crazy and kept the dash and doors always wiped down. What happens is after the armor all is used for so long it starts to actually break down the plastics and will cause damage. Trust me, cracked dash in a 4 year old Acura I was beyond pissed. Armor all is crap. 303 is the stuff to use, wipe it on them go back over it and wipe off the excess.

 

Know why it is called "303 Aerospace Protectant"?

Because, quite literally, NASA uses that stuff in/on space shuttles.

It's the only stuff I'll use.

 

I agree with everything you said. I bought some shin-etsu at a honda dealer back in 2008 to use on the low quality top on my low quality Jeep JK and still have a bit left in the tube. It is fantastic on rubber seals. I did notice that 303 came out with a specific product for rubber seals that might be worth a try.

A bit off topic, but the best tire shine I have ever used is Meguiars Hyper Dressing. It is water based and can be diluted for various purposes (such as rubber mats, under carriage, etc). I buy it by the gallon and it lasts about a year with weekly washes to two vehicles.

 

I used it based on others reviews, its ok leaves a clean finish without any shine

This stuff is great. Protects plastics, little shine but not over the top and not greasy like armor all. Use it in and on all my cars.

Yup. I use it all over the interior, and exterior plastics. I have even done the bed mat before just for fun, lol.

 

Armorall seals the pores and does not allow materials to breathe properly. According to a dude that made me a custom tonneau cover it is pure crap. He showed me a caddy interior that he was having to redo because the owner used the shit.
