    Not the best night on record... First phone call came in around 10:30. My wife's last remaining uncle is in the hospital, on a vent, suffering from kidney failure and congestive heart failure. Not expected to make it to the weekend. I've always been particularly close with him. He treated me like family from the first instant we met.

    20 minutes later, phone rings again. My nephew was killed in a car vs motorcycle wreck yesterday. Car blew a traffic light and hit Mike head on. He died on the way to the hospital. He did 3 tours in Afganistan/Iraq, went through 2 divorces, and loses his life on the way to get breakfast.

    Sitting here now, thinking about how quick it can all come to an end, ready or not.

    Hope they hang that bastard. My wife had a fall at 8 months. Didn't tell me or anyone, thinking it wasn't a big deal. One week later, we were sitting in the hospital trying to stop pre-term labor. I was not happy with her when the nurse asked if she had any falls recently...... Labor was halted, but she walked around for a month at 5cm. talk about stress, I was a wreck for that month. She could have popped at anytime.

    I try to live life to the fullest every day. I had a few close calls during my service in the army. After that, I told myself to be happy, live life,and don't worry about shit I can't control.
