It's just a pain in the dick to find someone who will align 35s locally especially when you need to get aligned pretty routinely when you wheel regularly. It would be nice as fuck to pull it into the garage take some measurements and be good to go

when I lived in Florida and Texas, I was out wheeling at least once a month, and typically needed an alignment just as often. maybe I was lucky, I don't know, but I was able to get a firestone lifetime alignment for $200 or whatever it cost back then. I'd bring it in after each wheeling trip and have them dial it back in. no cost to me, except the $20 tip I give the alignment tech. they got so used to aligning my truck, that with an appointment, I was usually in an out in less than 40 minutes. may be worth looking around and seeing if you can find something like that.

Shit that would be nice. Our fires stone won't align 35s though. I already asked. I'd say I'm doing mild trail rides 3-4 days a week. My alignment is constantly fucked.

also, I've done enough cutting and hammering, that I don't really need to adjust the caster to clear the 35s, so unless the truck is really pulling/drifting one direction or the other, I usually only pay attention to camber and toe. those are really easy to measure and correct, as apposed to caster which takes multiple readings with the wheels in multiple orientations, and then some math at the end.

so stupid. balancing 35s, sure, I could see that being an issue, but alignments have nothing to do with tire size

just tell them that you aren't lifted, you just have bigger tires on stock suspension. should shut them up.

The issue is the tires fitting on the rack... so they claim. I'm getting some good ol boys in Georgetown to mount and balance (likely with beads) but they don't have an alignment machine

Hah! tell them corvettes come with wider tires, and watch them try to come up with another excuse.

they probably just don't want to do it because they think it'll be a hard job and they only get paid so much per alignment.

Mild trails shouldn't hurt your alignment unless they didn't tighten the adjusters or you drive like a bat out of hell.. I know at least one is true lol.

Get a 2nd set of wheels with 33s or smaller and slap on for an alignment, screw The Rules!

that's a really good idea. someone's got to have a stock set of wheels and tires sitting around. I'd lend out the FJ cruiser wheels and 33s from my off road trailer, but I only have 3. I have another 33 on a Tacoma wheel, but they'd probably give you hell for a mismatched tire at that point.

:notsure: everyone who wheels with me tries to explain to me that there's this big fat pedal and the gas pedal is linear. I swear my gas pedal is off/on only

I'm just gonna see if the at home alignment works. If not I'll pull the wheels off of my moms Tacoma with 31s

I honestly wouldn't doubt it that your pedal does nothing until it's on the floor lol. Everyone else just needs to get on that Pedal Commander group buy.

More Braap. Basically it takes the pedal input does math to it and makes your pedal more touchy, gives more fuel at the top of the pedal to make it feel like you're getting more performance.

Problem being they have crews and money to rebuild their truck after every run.
