Is your neighbor an older type guy or a younger type? Because I'm trying to get the feel for the relationship here. I've got an older retired guy next door to my house that sits on a corner, so he's kinda my only neighbor. We can call him master chief cause he's old school .mil and salty as fuck. He does weird neighbor shit because I think the guy that owned the house prior to me was douchier than I am, and pissed master chief off. So now I have to be like kevin Costner in dances with wolves, remember with the wolf? How he had to be super nice to it and make friends? Sometimes I try to kneel down with a piece of dried meat to convince him to come over, but he just stares at me and paces back and forth. Anyway, the thing is if any one of us had a tree portion fall on the others house, I'm sure we would both extend a helping hand. Make friends with your neighbor and give them a little leeway for douchiness. Also, talk to the yard people. It's their fault not his. And wash the grass off. It's not the end of the world.

Thinking I should be able to avoid confrontation with a preemptive confrontation - no?

Just let it go and wash my truck where its sitting when neighbor is home so he can watch me in case I step on his freshly cut grass... then he can come out and start the confrontation!

Will take medication a head of time! What's the date today?? 4/20, better yet wash truck while puffing .... flick ash on freshly cut grass! hahaha and laugh for no reason when the dude comes out to have a "talk" with me. (actually be laughing at neighbor but he won't know).

I don't disagree, I'm just getting tired of the 1st world problem bs that I constantly hear. Not only on the forum but all over the place. People just need to realize it's not the end of the world cause some grass gets blown on your car, or your neighbor parks there car weird in their own driveway, or all other kinds of ridiculous reason. There are real problems out there folks that eventually we all have to face, why waste your energy on small shit. Lifes to short for that bs.

Good point.. yes he's older than me but not retired yet... thinking he's jelly!

Yeah not seeing any way to make peace offerings... he's like you said, "salty" like the dried lake beds in Utah. His wife is fine and friendly.

The folks that owned our house before us were crack dealers.. not shitting. So we are a HUGE improvement over that. Not sure why all the hate! I have no interaction with that guy.

This very well could be true. I am an early riser to get to work so I can hit the gym, but regardless I would check your official noise ordnance rules.

I had a dick head neighbor where he was always trying to get me. He called the po po at 9:01 pm because of noise ordnance as I was 5 min out from finishing my oil change. BUT because he filed the complaint, the police had to respond...atleast in VA. If not, the department could be hit for not responding, even though this is pretty petty shit. So on the flip side, if the rules say 8, then hell yea I would consider printing out some sort of officially ruling on noise once you have found it and first tell the grass people. Odds are they will know of the rule and likely comply. If not, then you can get the po po to intervene and seek your just reward. The grass on the ride is unfortunate, but Im sure with being freshly waxed it will likely fly right back off!

Your truck sits outside and you're upset because it got some grass on it?

Yeah, they should try not to get stuff on your truck, but I wouldn't get upset about it. It sits outside.

Try looking at the Smittybilt one's. When you open the package they magically have Nfab on them and will hurt your CC a lot less.

Not upset... we were wheeling after yesterday and dust cloud so now grass has dust on it!

poo poo me! I'm going to go kick my own ass now.

I feel for you man, I am a dirty mid thirties dude that I like to think does "his part" to keep the peace. With that being said, I don't take well to some guy just giving me shit for the hell of it or over some petty grass. Granted, its his yard, his bitch session, but once outside his little perimeter is fair game.

Im normally not that confrontational, but people that are salty only receive the same in return. This normally occurs after a few opportunities to try to understand one another have failed. Nothing wrong standing your ground and voicing your rights as a fellow home owner, really its unfortunate to understand that this asshole exists, but furthermore that you live next to him.

Tried that.. it's all stuck to the paint. Even went wheeling hoping the dust would knock it off!
I'll be pissed if my 2 tone Yota paint job is stained.
