What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Thanks! It's just sanded and then spray painted. I'm sure it'll get chipped up if used but that's the point of recovery points, skid plates, sliders, etc I can always respray it. I bought the hook used so it looks a lot better than when I first got it, I try to ball on a budget!

 

So many good looking Tacomas out there! Took this picture on a 10 hr drive through Arizona last weekend.

How do you black out your tailights like that?

 

Sorry took me a min, was in Utah the last week my tent is a Maggiolina by Autohome USA, great tent has lasted years!

My Brother just got a James Baroud, and I have to say I'm liking his alot aswell probabily going to upgrade soon!

Thank you. Those are the SOTA DRT 17x7.5 with Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ3's 265/70/17... I love these tires super quite and yet hella traction offroad... Yeah I definitely notice it on roads with slight hills and when at parkway speeds of 78-80mph...

 

The engine of the 3rd gens likes to rev out. If it's just high revs at highway speeds, it's fine.

If it seems to be slipping/searching constantly or thumping into gear from park or reverse you need to go to your dealership and demand that they PHYSICALLY check the ATF level and adjust accordingly. And they need to apply the TSB for the transmission.

Last night I picked up my newest craigslist find, 5 bfg ko2 tires, 265/70r17, takeoffs from a guy's new jeep with 400mi on them except the spare of course... came out to about 75/tire for all 5. I'm pretty happy about that! I was going to pick up some Duratracs eventually this year since I've run in them in the past and really liked them... but I couldn't turn down this deal. Finally I get a good craigslist score!

 

It will be a PITA if you don't have a friend or two.

No personal experience though.

Does anyone make aluminum rear bumpers, I know they do for the front.
