Do the mud dabbers dislike clear hose, or is it to see when they start plugging them up so you can remove the nest before it gets plugged?

It's a fuel hose that I bought from autozone, got also vinyl clear hose but I prefer this one.. there's a connector inside where the clamp is at.

Anyone know the P/N on the wheel well push-button things? Sorry, can't remember the word for them, but I broke both and it's now held on with a ziptie. TIA

I did the mod yesterday, routed it out through the frame rail. Also decided it would be a good time to fluid film my frame.

This looks like 2nd Gen all over again. Anyone show this to NTSB? Vehicle frames are supposed to be made of A709 steel. Checking mine in the morning.

Hasnt been warm/humid enough yet to have my ac spurt any water since I bought mine. I took a rattle can if black Rustoleum, reached down under the hood and sprayed the hell out of the frame under the hose outlet. Ain't scared.

The frames are treated but the welds are not. This isn't an NTSB issue. I had a 2nd Gen and never had any issues with rust. After what Toyota went through with the rusted frame recall you can bet the Gen 3 frames are treated. I have not noticed any rust on my Gen 3.

My only concern is that I did lose my 2nd Gen to the frame recall.

No smell here. Check your hoses, you may have a blockage.

We used to get that on my wife's old Prius - it molded up. Made a point to simply spray up the tube every so often with a bathroom cleaner with bleach - cleared it up and keeps it clear. I do one squirt for both her car and my truck every oil change now.

I like this idea. What kind of sprayer do you use to spray up the hose. Is it an aerosol can ? I imagine the hose mod we did here would have to be disconnected so there is a shorter distance to spray ?

I literally take this bottle out of the laundry room, spray into the tube end, and call it good.

    Wasps don't like it either.
