Canada is generally chill, yes, but it's also the land of slap-on-the-wrist criminal consequences, and a land where criminals have 10x more rights than the victims.

A while ago I read a local news article about a car thief that was recently arrested for this 30th car theft (30th known & busted car theft), and was subsequently released after serving 48hrs or what not. As if a guy that's been busted 30 times will suddenly have a change of heart, see the error of his ways and repent. Lock the fucker up in the deepest, darkest basement, throw away the key and forget he exists. End of the story.

Or the current "fentanyl" crisis... for those not in the loop, fentanyl is an extremely dangerous drug that was getting mixed into the other street drugs for a few years... people were constantly overdosing and dying. Well, for the last few years, there has been ZERO heroin on the streets (according to actual drug users living on these streets), and everything is 100% fentanyl - ie. a very good chance of death. People keep doing it, keep overdosing, and the media keeps crying foul about the horrible "crisis" and "these poor people who need help."

That's like crying that people who voluntarily jump off tall buildings need help in the form of soft pillows to land on. Stop responding to these damn calls, let Darwinism take its course, the entire "crisis" will be over in a month, and the drug dealers will go out of business as there won't be anyone left to buy their crap. Problem solved. Remember to vote 0210 in your next federal election.

I need you down here in San Diego. My neighbors to the north are a complete lost cause. Don't even get me started on them. There's no lie ten of them (three generations) living in a 1,300sqft house. Two more in a defunct RV on blocks in the backyard. Their pool hasn't been cleaned in years and is a hotbed for mosquitos. Their fucking Chihuahuas bark at the sun and moon (probably hate living there) and their yard resembles a landfill, trash constantly blows over and ends up in my yard... I've had it. Building a ten foot fence ON THAT SIDE ONLY.

These are the things I pondered when house shopping. I ended up with a 3 car garage and enough driveway space for about 10-15 more(depending on size).

See that's exactly why I want more land and less house. If by some luck I end up next to such people, I don't want to remember they exist. Hell, I'd build a fence for THEIR property just to enclose their crap. Maybe a solid roof, too, and forget to invest into windows and doors. :D

The house is nice, too. Balance to the universe comes by way of living in the boonies ... and having to commute 60+ miles to earn a decent salary.

In my neighbourhood the lawnmowers come out at 7am every single Wednesday, so I can totally relate to OP. Hate the damn things. Back in home country there was no such thing as "cutting the grass," and no one died as a result. Oh, the good old days.

Ya everybody else hates them too. All my other neighbors are great and we help each other out. The ones to the south are retired and I cut their grass, ones across the street chased away a wacko who was creeping into my windows while I was on vacation so I fixed their car and lawnmower for them... but the horde to the north.... fucking huge fence on top of a wall it is...

The word "likely" and assuming are kinda synonymous aren't they ? And PC ? Nah bro just dont make assumptions but to regergitate, talk to your neighbor if he can hire them he can tell them to be more carful or buy a car cover . Personally experience says it's a 5 minute job

Just be really careful when you talk to them. If their English is bad they might think you want ALL the clippings blown onto your truck.

People on forums have trouble with context. Id say it's likely that the sun will rise tomorrow over an intact plant earth. But then a massive asteroid will come by, smash into earth, destroy it, and then someone will post "oh so you just ASSUMED things would be normal today??" No. I said it was likely. I mean if assuming is the worst thing a person can do, let's just get rid of of it entirely, as well as stuff being likely. Now nothing is likely. Ever again. IS THIS WHAT YOU WANTED
