2016 BBP audio build

Actually I don't. The thought never even crossed my mind. I'm sure it will be terrible if I record it with my phone or go pro but if I have time this week I will try to put one together. I have had an audio system in every one of my vehicles for the past 20 years and this is the best sounding one I've ever had hands down. I'm very happy with the kicker hardware I decided to go with.

 

Sweet, I am currently working after school everyday to try and afford a nice system like yours. Can you give me a ballpark price on what you spent for your whole system?

 

That's great that you are actually working hard to get something you want! Much respect for doing that. I made this thread to help others out so if you have any questions just ask. There are a lot of good people that are willing to help on TW so you have a lot of resources.

Well I was fortunate enough to be working for Best Buy at the time so I got some pretty decent discounts on the hardware and wiring. I had to pay to have the box and amp rack built so that was a larger expense. I would say if I would have had to pay full retail for the equipment I would have been around 2500 or so but I'm not 100% positive. I have over 60 hours of time into it as well.

Is adding a bass restoration with a LC7i too much? Can't or can it be done?

Thanks! Might be another stupid question but I'm use to having an SUV and having subs with some boomy bass in it. Could it be possible without removing the seats. I'm looking to install 2 "8" or "10" if I can find the right box ir get some one to build the box for my Taco. The subs I want to use are these

Do you mean not having to remove the seats at all for installation? Don't think it could be done. If you're asking if I had to leave my back seats out just to have the subs in there, I was able to reinstall my seats just fine with my boxes behind them.

 

Yea I want to keep the seats In, I don't want crazy bass just enough to wake people in the morning and the middle of the night

 

You can keep your seats depending on the size of the box. There are guys with 12 and 13 inch subs behind there.

There won't be any way to not take them out during installation though.

i am using the LC7i. Worthy of note is that there is no "drop off" with the Tacoma stereo. You won't really need that functionality.

 

I was going to say something about that as well. The kicker sum8 I'm using doesn't have the bass restoration feature but there isn't a need for it.

 

Zman2k2 has 2 Triton 12s behind his rear seats... there is allot of possibilities

 

Did you end up using pre fab boxes for the 8s?
