4Cyl Base models come without flares. V6 comes with flares.

Side note - I would also suggest that you never buy anything but OE Toyota body panels, I had a small fender bender a couple of years ago and my insurance would only cover aftermarket body parts and the body shop painted and installed two different aftermarket brands that fit like complete shit they didn't even fit the headlights properly. They finally gave in and went with OE Toyota the 3rd time and it was a perfect fit.

but the fender opening itself is still the exact same size, the only difference is the lack of the fender clip holes.

okay could you send me a link to the OE Toyota parts? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot or searching wrong. I'll keep searching as well. I may order these to keep rid of the holes. Either way sounds like I'm trimming for dirty5s.

You're gonna be trimming for 35's unless you get proper flares.

I know. I just remember seeing something about the "hole-less" fenders. I may go that route then trim.

why don't you just get fiberglass fenders instead of spending money on a new set of fenders and still having to chop them up ? they need a little work to fit good usually but they are generally already cut and shaped to clear 35's. McNeil makes a nice +2 fender specifically for putting 35's on stock width arms : https://www.mcneilracinginc.com/collections/05-14-toyota-tacoma/fiberglass

X2 I'd rather spend money on fiberglass than another set of stock ones that you're gonna cut up anyways. It'll look better and fit the tires better in the end as well. McNeill has the +2 as well as the Trailer Products +2 ones that are a little less aggressive looking. I'm running those, figment isnt great, but they don't look to bad if you ask me.
