Swapped steel wheels for 2016 TRD off road take offs. Removed stupid looking "chin spoiler" air dam.
I bought some take offs from a 2016 TRD off road to replace the boring "stylized" steel wheels that come with the SR. The new wheels look great but the dealership told me the TPMS sensors will not work with the new wheels and I would need to buy new ones. That seems like a bs answer because they couldn't figure out how to program them.. Any thoughts? Do I really need to buy new sensors?

    Sounds like bullshit to me.

If you had steel wheels and now have aluminum, the TPMS will work - they just need to be rotated 180 degrees.
If you had alloy before, then that's fuckery.

    you need new sensors.
SR comes with steel wheels does not it not?

OR has alloys. so you'd need alloy sensors.

I've heard from other tire places as well that there are two different types of sensors...
Unless they've all been full of shit I dunno.
