just so you know, virtually everyone who doesn't have reservations somewhere made about a year ago, will be doing the same thing. I recommend you get there BEFORE the weekend and plan on staying put the whole time. hoardes will be showing up at any accessible site that will support camping.

We're hauling our camp trailer up to the Oregon SolarFest at the Madras Fairgrounds, where we reserved a full hookup RV site over a year ago. it will be a zoo, but I figure the RV camp area will be relatively quiet as there's only around 50 hookup spaces.

 

It's only creepy if he asks someone to kick him in his balls so he can schedule a new visit.

just got to find small trails to little lakes. Plenty of those all over. Figure Oregon will be a shit show. tetons will be crazy. Then noticed it went over the sawtooths. On my list to visit.
