I sprayed my leafs with Rustoleum and they held up decent enough. I actually sprayed them assembled, doing a coat of their brown rusty metal primer and then a coat of gloss black. I Fluid Filmed them and they held up pretty well through the winter.

Also, I missed out on all the WRX / Evo commentary earlier. Do you have any photos of your Evo handy? @Bruce988jl I don't remember if I've seen photos of it before.

I dry heave every time I use it.

Evo looks great! I always thought the Evo was a better looking car than the STi of the same vintage.

That Ford looks mighty upset about something...

I never really cared for the look of the Lancers...

I never liked the base Lancer, but thought the Evo did a great deal to rectify that. I thought my year STi was an ugly car with the split grille. The STi had the better interior IMHO (not that it's saying much, the interior was garbage quality-wise) and at the time slightly better reviews in terms of reliability. I wish I had driven the Evo prior to purchase, just to see which one I would have liked more.

The 2006 facelift was ugly on the Imprezas.

If I was going to spend that kind of cash on an AWD sports car, I'd probably go for an Audi S3

I started with a Lancer and still own a 2007 Lancer ES as a beater when the truck is down. The evo isnt road legal and hasn't been for 2 years.

With the exception of the 5 door, I always thought the STi was a better looking car. From a performance standpoint, I think I'd take the Evo most years but I've never been in the market for that type of vehicle. Always been trucks and bikes for me.

I had a 2012 wrx hatch in white for 3 years and loved it as a daily driver... Until the motor popped. Turns out cylinder 3 was way out of balance and subaru refused to help me on the motor replacement. I swapped in a new motor and washed my hands of the car. I would never suggest cityside subaru in Belmont ever.

In 2007 if you wanted non-RWD fast your options were really STi or Evo. I didn't really want to daily a 350Z or G35 could through the winter and at that point the Mustang was still slow.

I love the S3 and would probably pick one up as a daily driver if I won the lottery even tho it's automatic only which pretty much ruins the car for me. When I was in high school the father of one of my friends had a 96 A4 2.8 non-Quattro in stick that I absolutely loved and the S3 is basically a neo-A4 from that generation.

I would never purchase an automatic sports car no matter how fast the flappy paddle gearbox can change gear.

Nah, google Maloo. It's an El Camino on steroids and will put most modern day sports cars to shame.

It would have come to the US too if Pontiac hadn't died. The G8 ST was green-lit for production.

I had seriously considered importing one to the US a long time ago. No one around here would have had one. The when the G8 ST was supposed to come out, I lost interest lol

What's the deal with importing Holdens? I'd imagine you'd hit the same 25 year hurdle. I saw something about people getting them in as some sort of kit but I'm sure with the crackdown on the R34 and thus all interesting sportscars it would be difficult to have.

There used to be a Pulsar GTI-R in my hometown that I have no idea how was road legal.

Anyone close to Cape Cod have an extra set of headlights I might be able to borrow...? Might send mine out to get retro'd instead of getting aftermarket ones since they are the upgraded glass.
