My 2000 V6 is my first and only car. I discovered today the frame is rotting out, is this safe?

My father says it's safe but I need some other opinions.

A big fat NO!!! OMG, key structural areas are missing that support the front leaf!

Yes, my parents and I bought it May 2015. Today I noticed a popping sound when I would brake or accelerate and looked under and pulled a pretty good amount of frame right off.

That popping sound is the rear suspension and axle trying to seperate from the frame. Do not drive this truck anymore....

Your Dad told you this was safe? Do you happen to be a red headed step child?
I'd be nervous crawling under that let alone driving it.

Can you just imagine driving down the road and that happening? For the safety of others if not your self I'd have to have it checked at a dealership. Who knows they may buy it

Idk I'm not privy to what people have been paid for their trucks I've only heard stories of several being paid more than they blue booked for. I feel for the OP it has to be very frustrating to say the least. I have also heard countless times of people getting new frames, leaf packs, brake lines, and hardware

FYI there are threads on here that discuss the frame recall. Maybe there is a chance your vehicle was in that. I'm not exactly sure how it all worked. But I have seen posts where members explained the details.

Also I assume you don't live in a state with vehical inspections, because that didnt happen since 2015.

Illinois. Anytime there is an inch of snow the roads are paved with salt.

I hate to say it, but you posted a thread back in 2015 asking about rust under your frame. You should have taken all the advice then and either fixed it or attempted to slow the process by cleaning and coating it.
