Cap City Build & BS AF

So I'm going down south to visit my parents tomorrow and it's kind of a birthday party for my parents at the same time. Anyways, my mom has been asking me to paint something for her for like ever so my sisters bf gave me his old water colors. Spent a good half hour drawing a retarded picture of my dogs for her (I haven't drawn in forever). Buy paint brushes cause I couldn't find my old ones anywhere, go to open the tubes and the paints have gone bad. Fml.

I have a bunch of oils that I could use but that means I'd have to re draw the picture, and bring her a wet painting, which I'm not sure would survive the car ride ahggg. I could've spent this time dying my hair now I have to wake up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to do it.

lol you're way too nice. I literally haven't drawn in like 12 years. I've found I've lost my sense of perception. It'll take some practice to get it back.

Dude, I don't just give compliments to people that haven't earned them... you are legit talented. Very realistic!

 

It's better than what I could do. I've drawn all my life and haven't ever been able to draw animals or people. Well, I succeeded once drawing two samurai's but that was the only time.

 

You guys are way too nice. Whenever I need to feel better about my failures I'll just come here.

I just wish I was able to finish it so I could give it to her. Her birthday isn't until may so I'll tell her there's something else coming for her later I guess...

I used to draw 24/7. My dad would always tell me it wasn't good enough. One day I was freehanding horses. Each one id show to my dad wasn't good enough. I got so frustrated I traced one from a picture. My dad said it was "a little bit better." And they wonder why I quit...I've won awards in school for my art back in the day :/

Now they keep harassing me to draw for them again cause I've been so listless, and praise me even for the most thoughtless of work. It kind of sucks.
