We've got an air setup although it's not working right now. We developed a leak somewhere and can't seem to locate it. Pump keeps running and the tank never fills up. The tank/compressor are stored in our basement while PVC piping routes the air up into the garage.

Other than all the attachments (sockets), we've got a Thundergun impact gun and a cutting wheel. That's it.

I like electric tools. I have a paslode nailgun though, it is kind of air powered. I think it has a built in compressor or something.

I have a 20 gal/5 HP in the garage that routes to 2 filter-regulators with 3 drops (2 in the garage, one in the basement). Everything is routed with push-to-connect fittings and tubing. One of the drops in the garage is on a self retracting reel which is the only way to go. Air tools I have are impact gun, die grinder, air ratchet, brad nailer, framing nailer, tire chuck w/ gauge, and tons of blow guns.

i am looking in to putting a couple 10 gallon tanks in the attic and connecting the to my tank in the garage cause i dont seem to have the a$$ to run my impact gun. pretty sure its a volume problem cause my tank goes up to 120 psi.

I have a 13 gal one I got at Wal-Mart a few years ago as a return-to-shelf layaway purchase so it was MUCH cheaper. Came with cheap impact, air chisel, blow gun, and a cut off grinder. Since then I've added an air ratchet and bigger impact (550ftlbs).

The 13gal does most of what I need, but can't run the tools very long. Also has trouble giving enough power to impact to break stubborn lug nuts. I picked up a 20 gal one to supplement it (has a detachable tank with it's own gauge and connector), but it won't run in my barn. :( Need to upgrade the electric first. So it sits in my basement with 180ft of hose if I need more power. Once I get the electric upgraded I have a double-male adapter to link both compressors together to get 30+ gallons of air, and 2 pumps running. I'm hoping that'll let me run sanders and my other tools a little longer without dropping the $700-$1000 on a 220v 2-stage compressor (plus finding room for it, wiring it, etc).

They have unbeatable prices. You can get a HVLP paint gun for $11.00You can buy every air tool available for less than $200.00. The Home Depot has a husky air compresor for sale that will run anything you need for $275.00:popcorn:
