That MSRP for $40k in my area with no tonneau cover or running boards. $41k with tonneau cover and running boards.

That's a good deal $3500 off MSRP is $500-1000 below invoice. Enjoy the truck. What color did you get?

Sounds pretty good! Invoice with destination would be about $37,550 or so.

I get that kind of a deal on the low bid, there will be no hesitation....I'm taking it. My goal will be invoice. Anything beyond that in SoCal will be icing on the cake. I won't need to dip too far into holdback and wholesale reserve to be happy. MSRP (or anywhere near it)...out of question. I'll wait for a few months until they start getting ready for the '18's and try again. I've driven my 2002 for 15 fantastic years. No skin off my ass to wait a while.

Hopefully I'll hit a dealer trying to get their numbers for the month and get a smoking deal. But if not, a good deal will be good enough.

You can get a smoking deal on a 2017 in August/September when the 2018s hit the lot. The 2018s will have safety sense standard on the TRD trims and some other minor stuff so that is worth waiting for and if you don't think the 2018s are worth the extra money you can get 2017 at a much better deal when the 2018s are available.

i'd go to Manhattan Beach Toyota for sure and ask for their costco membership pricing. No haggle, basically it's about $1,000 above invoice. That was the best price I could find, no other LA/OC area dealer that i called could match them, especially bc i ordered my truck, and it wasn't already on the lot..

TRUCK: white '17 Tacoma TRD off road 4x4 DCSB with premium / tech package + JBL+ tonneau cover

    PRICE:
    MSRP: $40,255
Selling price (costco member discount): $38,086
    Doc Fee: $80
    DMV: $573.75
    Taxes: $3,339.53
    OTD: $42,079.28

Bay area CA. I paid $33,6xx before taxes for a 2017 ORLB with tow package and all weather mats. They showed me the lowest prices of people who have purchased and i received the lowest by far. The dealership hasn't sold one below MSRP. So I got a hell of a deal. With taxes and DMV stuff was $37500 OTD

Bought mine recently in Olympia WA. Model 7544C. Silver sky metallic double cab short bed TRD off road. Premium and Tech with JBL. Tow package, factory tonneau cover, all weather mats, exhaust tip, mud guards, sill protectors.

Sticker was 40,647. Negotiated sale price to 37,187. Decide to splurge on a 10 year/100k warranty for 1500. TTL and fee was 889.

    Drive off was 39,586.

I was budgeting around 40k for an off road with most options so it worked for me and I got a decent warranty extension as I plan on keeping it.

2017 TRD Pro Cement, truck is supposed to arrive next week

    Sticker $44,432
This included mudguards ($129) and all-weather matts and sill guards ($228)
$500 discount for repeat business so $43,932

    Added Bed extender $399
    Added bed mat $129

    So $44,460

After PA tax, registration, Doc fees, etc. $47,482.21

As an added benefit I was able to negotiate a tire swap with them, they are putting on 5 KO2s and only charging me price difference and mount / balance which came to about $600

It's not in my driveway yet, but I will be picking up the following in the next week or so. Just put the deposit on it today after negotiation with no less than 5 dealers on similar trucks.

ACLB, V6, 6MT, 4x4, White, Tow package, All weather floor mats.
    MSRP: $34,428
Invoice: $32,245 from my calculations, may be a bit off here.
    Price: $31,600 + $390 doc Fee + taxes of ~$2000

I'm pretty happy with that deal. I paid a few percent more (by percent of MSRP) for my 2014 SR5 ACLB in a similar configuration.

That will be my last ditch fall back plan if nothing comes in better. With the Costco exec membership, I'd then also get $750 back at end of year to spend at Costco. That makes for a decent deal at the end of the day.

But I won't be admitting to any dealer that I've got a Costco or USAA membership. I'm waiting for until I have bids from anyone who gives one, then I'll check Costco after all those are in.

I've got a list of dealers with 11 trucks in my desired config now on the lot (after searching through 35 or so dealers). Giving them first crack at it. Hopefully there will still be a good number of them there when I start my calls next week.

That is kind of high but he lives in California paying nearly 10% sales tax. $3,300 in sales tax. Ouch!

I dealt with her as well and had a great experience. I ended up paying 31,971 before taxes and fees for a 17 MGM dcsb trd off road with a mt. At my request she had most of the paperwork complete so by the time we were done it had taken under an hour. Not to mention the price was below what other dealers were willing to do.

They knocked $5730 off MSRP? Care to take a pic of the sales sheet and post it?
