I'd be down for Gold Mountain and anything "difficult"-rated after it.

Sorry man turns out I have plans at 4 out here in LA on Sunday :( If something changes between now and then I'll let you know

Stoked for next weekend's camping run though, @Sandtaco should lead us on at least one of the Drinkwater runs...he knows where all the harder hidden trails are out there. @stvstoy was there that one time he showed us a few of them, there was one trail that none of us were willing to attempt that day lol

Thanks I will look at it.
Looking to go out tomorrow day, going with another 2wd. Not looking to do anything crazy. Just get our feet wet as we are new to this side of our trucks.

The trail run we're going on tonight is a pretty easy fire road, there are some rocky sections here and there but nothing that hard or that will hurt the truck

There's a few different places to start and end that all link together and go to Santiago Peak
You can start at Maple Springs Road over in Silverado Canyon, or Indian Truck trail in corona, or hop on North main divide off the Ortega highway. The first two link up to main divide eventually and they all lead to the peak & you can take any of them back down

I'll probably stop somewhere in town to grab a coffee and a donut then head to the trail. I'll check it out tonite. I want to do another trail after Gold but the difficulty would have to be similar to Gold Mountain cause the other guys dont have full armor and/or 32" tires so wouldnt want to put them in a bad spot. Was thinking White Mountain or Burns. Any suggestions?
As mentioned above not sure if @desertjunkie760 and @lesterb315 could be on anything much more difficult than Gold. Open to suggestions on other trails for the day. We'll for sure get back up there another weekend to do Holcomb. That trail looks sick! So far I think the trip is just the guys in this post.

Well my plans didn't end up "falling through" so I'm out of this trip. I'm definitely making up for it by camping out Friday-Saturday at rowher though.

Gold mountain can be done on 32s. I've done it a few times but every time I tagged my sliders in at least one or two spots so I'd say they're highly recommended if you value your rocker panels. Definitely recommend having a rear locker though especially if you're going on 32's and little to no added armor. You probably don't *need* one if you're going with another capable rig or two that can help pull you up some of the harder steps just in case. Just my 2 cents

Burns is fun. Nothing too technical except for the boulder garden which has a bypass. Last time I went out I was the only one that stayed the course and did the boulder crossing. There is also a "black diamond" trail that can be traversed after the boulder crossing which I've done that will loop back to the burns trailhead. However, there is also a super simple route after the boulder crossing that leads to Joshua tree (pioneer town) where Pappy and Harriets is. Bomb burgers there from what I here. Going there Wednesday with @Dangerousd1987 via burns but I'm willing to do it all twice.
