The Hawks played one playoff series and their lone even-strength goal was from Dennis Rasmussen.

    Definitely saw that coming...

They're beatable... Look at game 3 of that series. The preds wouldn't of won if they would of seen the hit on the goalie when Forsberg made that shot to tie the game. He obviously hit the goalie. But the zebras apparently didn't see it clearly. If they would of saw it and not gave the preds the point, we would have a game 5.

I'm not giving the Preds as much credit as some others are. If you look at the Hawks their success this year was leveraged on the success of several players who were not only rookies but also rookies who were playing way above anyone's expectations. The Hawks had to go this route because their core, as always, leaves them without much more than the league minimum to plug their bottom six forward and bottom three defender holes. I think come playoff time these players regressed back to what they really are, a bunch of second rate players who were pushed into the NHL too early, and the Preds ended up playing a team that couldn't even run three good lines when they played Chicago. When it comes to the playoffs if you can't use all four of your forward lines effectively you aren't going to go very deep.

Preds are on fire. Not Chicago's fault they ran against them in what may be their year.
