Any reason to wait for 2018 models to hit dealerships over buying 2017 now?

Usually a swift punch to the wife's throat stops that.....at least for a few minutes

Thank ya. 265/70/R17. When I bought my truck it was level and 6" wheel well to wheel..so the tires fit with no rubbing. I will swap with Bilsteins when It pay it off..i liked the sport when I test drive but after the last 7 months it's more rigid then I felt at the time. GoIng with 70 sidewalls I got about a 1" natural lift out of it too

What do you mean by this? Thanks for the info. Trying to figure out tire size for my application. Really want 285 KO2s but don't know if I can pull it off. Other members have had to do a CMC, but I don't want to cut into by cab mounts or cut any metal at all. They also used an aggressive offset on their wheel.

I meant I had measured them space for a larger sidewall tire. Just giving the distance..285s will rub. I didn't want to HAVE to lift it. I purchased my tires and wheelset prior to the truck.

Got it. Do you know if 275s will rub with a 2" level lift? Thanks

They don't. Only saying that cause 2" will do the trick..I will slightly rub with 275s currently. But that's a killer setup

Cool! That's good to know. Thanks for the info and help. Still going to see if there is a set up for 285s with a certain offset that will not rub with 2" level lift.

2018's have an option for unicorn skin seat covers and a unicorn horn hood mount instead of the fake scoop.
Kind of bummed I blew my load on a 2017.

LOL. You guys all kill me. It's good to see you haven't lost your sense of humour Unchained. It's been a while since I've been on this forum because I traded my 2015 Tacoma on a 2017 GTI. :frusty::crapstorm: Yes it was a BIG mistake and I'll be back in the Tacoma game soon enough. My wife gives me 6 months before it happens, my brother figures I'll have a new truck in 3 months. We'll see.

    Anyway back on topic.

A 32" tire is the biggest you can fit with a 3" lift, unless you want to do a cab mount chop and trim your fenders a little. The question remains. Is the extra .5" of ground clearance you are going to get from a 33" tire vs a 32" tire worth cutting up your truck for?

EDIT: Apparently a 33" tire will fit with a 3" lift without having to do a cab mount chop....

Thanks for the input. After doing a lot of research and talking to a few people, probably going to do 275/70/R17. Not worth it to me to start cutting up a brand new 40k truck to get a little extra tire.. Thanks for the reply appreciate your help

So wait for the 2018 or not. Well here in the wonderful world of Canada, the only transmission available with the TRD Sport DCSB is a 6 speed manual. If you want a DCSB Tacoma with an automatic transmission you have to get the TRD OR. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Toyota will offer the DCSB TRD Sport with an auto for 2018. Nothing wrong with the OR but I'll never be in a situation where I need a locker so I see no need to pay for one nor do I ever see me needing the crawl control.

No worries. That's what were here for....well, except for Unchained of course.....:bananadance:Jk Unchained.:canada: You've always been very helpful with me.

MGMTaco17 as with all forums the search feature here is.....well, it sucks. Your best bet is to Google your question with + Tacomaworld at the end of your query. Like this:

    will 275 rub on a 3rd gen tacoma with a 2" lift + Tacomaworld

    Which yielded this:
