Don't we kinda need to know when you bought it versus its vintage to determine if a good deal or not?

 

If we're boasting here, I drove away with a great deal to me.
2010 4wd 5 speed 105k. No accidents/original paint, clean frame, good service history, nothing iffy but scratches for $13,500.

Bought April of this year: 2006 DCSB TRD OR, 1 owner (older gentleman), serviced at dealership, 108K miles, new frame, all recalls done, immaculate inside and out...$15,291 (was able to talk the dealership down from $15500 and also had them deliver it to me five hours away!) It took one year of looking and also finding a buyer for my 97.

 

Or jacked up with a 3" lift, 33" wheels, M1 Abram tank bumpers and so on.

Got mine a year ago this month. 2006 double cab long bed TRD sport Prerunner. 69k miles. Super clean, the gentleman kept it garaged when not driving. He just used it mostly for trips since he had a work van. All dealership maintenance records and recalls up to date. Paid $16,500 for it.

I since added OME 885/5100s, Light Racing UCAs, add a leaf, softopper, tires, weather tech floor mats, and a few other things. Love this truck

Is TW better than a dealership for diagnosing that "noise from the engine bay?"

Of course it's a 4x4! All my trucks have been and will continue to be.

 

2006 Prerunner V6 DCSB TRD OR

Bought back in February with only 60,000 miles for $16,000!!

Clean title, dealer serviced, incredible condition. Drove about 3 hours to pick up but it was back in my home town.

 

This is my first truck and had that no 4x4 regret within months. But I live in mostly dry socalifornia and been off-roading quite a bit without issues. But for sure my next one, a long time from now, will have 4x4

 

Ah sorry didn't mean to bring up those regrets. You'll just learn how to drive really well.

I live in upstate NY and used to live in Vermont...I use 4WD all winter, mainly because I refuse to miss a powder day even if the roads have a foot of snow.

You'll be fine without it, keep the truck clean, be on the lookout for a 4x4, and sell it to someone for more than you paid for it when the time comes.
