Hmmm ok. I don't have my tent on right now but I'll check it out when I put it back on. I didn't think those straps were adjustable, but I'm about to find out.

you may as well remove your back window and put in a solid chunk of metal

The top of mine is level with the top of my OEM roof rack, and with the swingout there is maybe a sliver of visibility through the back...I want a backup cam now lol

What he said. I can't see anything out the back window with mine mounted on All Pro bed bars.

Same. Gonna pull the rearview mirror off once the tent goes back on in a couple of days. At least free up some front window area...

May consider the legalities if you do so

Pretty confident in my state a rear view mirror is required

In that case it wouldn't be as useless. These are all pro lows with an ARB.

so you're looking for the base of the tent to sit level with the roof/base of a prinsu rack, correct?

if you're looking to have the top of the tent level with the top of the prinsu rack, you'll have to go pretty low...

Curtains - One beef I have with the clamshell style soft RTT's is the front and back(?) windows open from the bottom up. When sleeping, I just don't feel comfortable with the window open (screen still closed) all the way to the bottom of the tent. Just feel 'exposed'. I'd prefer to roll the outer cover all the way up and have some sort of curtain (on the inside) that I could cover the bottom of the window opening.
I've got an idea on how I'm going to pull this off, but was wondering how others may have addressed this privacy issue?

I just leave the side windows open and close the ends. Nobody can really see in the side ones unless they crawl up on my back bumper

My RCI rack gives me some view out the back window, no swing out here yet, and sits low enough to not be in the wind fully. The rack puts the tent 12" above top of bed. I've seen racks at 14" and even 15.5". 15.5 would be aligned with the top of the cab, iirc.
