Just bought a new 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 in magnetic gray. On April 1st, yes, April Fools Day. This was to replace my 2010 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road PreRunnner in Silver. Both are great trucks but this newer one has soooooo many gizmos and comfort features. How did I get along w/o them for so long? Can't wait to take it off road for the first time and get it a little dirty. Gotta try out this new "Crawl" feature. I posted these first pictures as a "Before", because there are some mods I would like to do to this truck to set it apart for all the other Tacos out there. First few mods will be a tonneau cover, running board steps, and a hood protector.IMG_20170407_074409703.jpg IMG_20170407_074352781.jpg IMG_20170406_182503940.jpg

Welcome! Congratulations on the new truck. I HIGHLY recommend you read the welcome information that was sent to you in the Welcome Message and Learn to Use Search Feature to avoid getting flamed for asking questions that are repeatedly asked here and beaten to death like "what tire size can I fit" "what lift should I get" etc. That will help you integrate smoothly to the TW community.

Did you check to see if the paint is mismatched on drivers side from front to rear? I know that's been an issue on these Metallic Grey Tacomas.

    Again welcome!

Thanks for the welcome and compliments on my truck. I previous had a 2010 Toyota Tacoma silver PreRunner, and used that as trade in for this one. Did a couple of simple upgrades this week. Step rails and tonneau cover.New Step Rails.jpg New Tonneau Cover.jpg Awesome Truck.jpg

Eventually, yes. Currently I still have that "New Car Smell" and I want to keep it that way for a little while. I'll definitely be getting my tires dirty and mud slinged on the fenders.

    Sweet truck! Welcome to TW.

I agree with the other posters (@smitty99). This place is super fun but thick skin is good.

    The stoke is real!

I had a nerf rounded step on my 2010 and it caught a rock. Just going to put a little lift on it and going to enjoy my truck.

These are the modifications I had done Jan 2018. New Icon Stage 4 lift with Toyo Open Country AT 285/70R17s on Icon Alpha 17" rims in gunmetal finish. I had the cmc done at the same time.

Wanted to post pictures of "post" plasti-dip front grill. I think they look awesome for the price of a couple of rattle cans. (Flat Black and Glossifier) I used a grey color for the Toyota symbol but it just looked like primer. So had a can of hammered grey and just painted overtop the plasti-dip grey. What do you think?

Out near Eloy getting the Taco dusty. You can see that I have installed a set of Baja Design amber fog lights in replace of the stock ones. I also added a TRD skid plate and installed a new Odysse AGM battery to replace the ole acid filled one. Trying to make this beast more capable as well as her looks.
