Post #8 is my bet too.

If you've not had a transmission fluid level check, I'd ask for that. The more complicated one, where they have to start with a cold unit.

I'd also ask about the TSB flash for the trans ECU 'if' you've had unusual shifting issues.

You may have already done both. Or neither. Just pointing them out if you haven't.

Since its a 2016 it is possible its the crankshaft position sensor. I also believe, having gone thru this myself, that the truck will just throw the same error codes regardless. Mine threw the oil pressure, and charging system errors. I have a manual so it wont send the transmission temp code.

He's a parent who refers to how old a child is in months (after 1 year), he's probably the male equivalent (assuming he's male) to

If AT hit overtemp, I'd want the fluid changed.

It's at Toyota I'm not too worried about it at this point best I can do is wait for a diagnosis And ask for new transmission fluid and hope for the best.

I'm a Toyota fan , and I love my truck. Luckily lol there was some shade ahaha -'d the tow driver came quickly.

Summer is around the corner. Be prepared for more 2016 CPS failures with warmer weather.

Not too sure if i remember right .. November or December 2015. I bought it slightly used with 7k miles on it. It just cracked 14k as of April 2017

It's my weekend truck since I have a work truck as well and my lady's ride.

So it's not like it's a daily driver... and I've only gone wheeling less than 5 times on medium difficulty trails.

Did you ever have your transmission fluid checked?
