MGM vs Quicksand. The poll!!

I'd like to thank all of you who participated in my pole, and update you on my decision.

Quicksand was the clear winner here, and still arguably my favorite color. It's got something about it that I instantly fell in love with. It's uniqueness, similarities to Desert Storm vehicles , the fact that it hides dirt and scratches very good, and how awesome it looks with black accents. All these facts make it one awesome color. However.......

Going up against MGM , Quicksand had a tough battle. I'll admit that I think Quicksand is the cooler color and rightful winner of this poll, but there are a number of reasons why I choose to go with MGM.

#1. My wife. She really dislikes Quicksand and definitely prefers MGM. This was ultimately the deciding factor.

#2. TRD Pro Grille. I love this grille and will be ordering it with the truck. For some reason I just think the grill looks better on MGM.

#3 MGM although maybe not as rugged looking as Quicksand, has an undeniable awesomeness. It's sleek and stealthy looking, and just plain badass when properly modded.

That's basically it. After a week and a half of going back and forth, I realize that I like both colors equally and for different reasons. I'm relieved that my wife stepped in as the deciding factor, because I just couldn't decide.

My first one was quicksand and I loved the color... but I wanted a v6 4x4 6-speed so I settled for MGM and love it almost as much

 

Don't forget to post pics! Glad you got that important matter settled! lol, we had decided on mgm until we saw quicksand in person, then we had to have quicksand. Either way, they are nice.

I also really like the QS.....some days wish I did....others, when people tell me they really like my MGM....glad I didn't.
Wish I could have both! ; )

Mgm. Because quicksand in the winter up in New England looks like soft serve poo with a snow background.

That was my exact thought about both quicksand and inferno. Awesome colors but not something I want to be stuck with.

 

If you get the Inferno... you won't "be stuck with it", It goes like the Energiser Bunny.... through everything...!!
I'd choose QS over the MGM as well (if that was the ONLY 2 colors)...!! MGM is "blaugh"..! And shows dirt like crazy.

 

Dirt gives your truck character. It shows you use your truck and it works hard for you and you for it.

 

I like both colors, my favorite is Quicksand. For whatever reason I predict that Quicksand Tacoma's will age well regarding their looks. I actually wanted to get stuck with this color and looking forward to when the color goes out of production.

 

I think quicksand may be a dude color. When I was buying I told my wife I really liked quicksand and she was definitely not on board. She hated it too.

 

Here's a 1981, I still like it.

 

Not always. My wife's Subaru Crosstrek is Desert Khaki, their version of QS. She picked it out the color. It was between that and black for me. If I was getting a 3rd gen, I'd be hard pressed NOT to get QS.

 

Sorry to hear you are going with the inferior color. My wife doesn't like quicksand much either, but she didn't say anything until after I bought it.
