Got everything welded up tonight! Just need to finish painting it and get a strip of rubber to put on the xmember. I should have better pictures soon.

Wait so this used the original crank too? That's awesome!

It does! I wish I had the original crank tool instead of my ghetto one lol. I might weld a socket to the crank and use a long extension and battery impact and make it super fast!

Can the jerry cans be flipped around? That way when they are lowered the spouts would be facing up instead of down. That hoist is pretty fricken cool though.

Do it. It's the best life hack I did for my stock jack. I use a hook and a cordless drill to raise and lower it. Same awesome concept haha

Yes they can. I had a slight concern about them hitting the shackle before I put the hinge on so I put them in that way and just didn't flip them around. They should fit in which ever direction. Although facing the rear might protect the cap from rocks hitting and potentially cracking them. I doubt it really makes a difference either way though.

That is freaking awesome, Ryan! Way to get creative with the space under there. You got me thinking about doing a similar thing for storing tools or recovery gear, or whatever. Very nice!

I have thought about putting tools and such under there but the times you will likely need that stuff you may not be able to access it under there very well.

I've been in a situation where I needed my hi lift but because my frame was being flexed I couldn't open my tailgate to get it out from under the platform. It still resides there though. Haha

I might be able to squeeze an ammo can in between the two jerry cans but I'm not sure what to put in it.

Good point. I was thinking spare parts to stick under there, CV's joints etc. But good point on might not being able to access them in that situation.

That is a good point. Maybe something less critical in a bad situation.

Still love that idea, Ryan! I need to get a damn welder.

    And some welding skillz

If my ammo can fits I may put my electrical supplies under there.

It is definitely handy having a welder. My skills are still a work in progress. I still haven't really figured out how to weld upside down.

Honestly I'm not really sure exactly what I have in that box haha
Miscellaneous connectors, multimeter, electrical tape, fuses and wire. I have bailing wire and Jb weld in there too I think.

Did a leak down test tonight. This was my first time ever doing this so I was learning as I went.

Cylinder #1 30% leak. Didn't think to try and listen to where it was leaking at this point. This was in the green on the guage.

Cylinder #2 50% leak from the intake. I didn't think to take a listen to the exhaust at this point. In the yellow on the guage.

Cylinder #3 50% leak from intake and exhaust. The intake wasn't as loud as #2 so the thought popped in my head to listen to the exhaust being that they had the same leak percentage.

Cylinder #4 14% leakage. I wasn't worried about this one so didn't bother listening for a leak since it was the best of the 4.

Anyone following my build have any suggestions? Any issues I may cause continuing to run with some leaky valves other than power loss?

Here are some better pics and video of the Jerry can holder. I'm a little concerned with shackle clearance but I flexed things out in the yard and everything seemed OK. Just need to fill em up now.
