Checked and re-checked. Picked up a roll of small mesh wire at Homey-D's. As soon as it stops raining, I'll have at it again.

Good morning, slept in for quite awhile this morning. Need to stretch out more. And more coffee.

Shouldn't you be using cat 6 cable now days? ;) I still have almost 1k feet of cat 5 in the garage from when I was in the field. When I first moved in here 15 years ago spent a few days running cable throughout the house. Took almost a full day to do one run that was a PITA. House has an old low voltage security system in it with devices attached but I never activated it when I moved in. One of these days will check it out and see if it can run 12V safely. Or not, there are enough wireless smart home systems out there now. Been on AV Science forums last couple of weeks looking at wireless speaker systems and Whole House Systems. Just looking. But if I was to do it today I would just add another repeater to the wifi and be done with it. I have a repeater in the house now already so have full coverage everywhere. Better to spend time in attic today than August, good luck!

Was just thinking about this as I was working outside. You likely already know this but just in case you don't. Most people attach their router to their modem with a short patch cable and the demarc location is usually the worst spot in the house for a wifi router. I already had the wires run to a switch which happened to be near my demarc location. So it was easy enough for me to plug a cable from a centrally located bedroom directly into the modem. The router sits on the top shelf in the closet in that bedroom, you want your wifi router sitting as high as possible and centrally located. So if you don't already, and as long as your running cable anyhow, now might be a good time to do so. If you haven't already that is. Have a feeling you might already know this though.

I'm not afraid of snakes at all. Had quite a few as pets, and used to catch rattlers in the area, and relocate them out of the neighborhood.

X1000. For a couple years they thought my boat was the best place to live. I'd go out to clean it and load up and war on.

There must be a metric ton of weakness leaving my body because I'm rather sore after my massage yesterday it's like I went to the gym for six hours of heavy work out or someone beat me with a stick.

Oh that's funny. I knew this was going to happen. One of my sister-in-law's is a massage therapist, we're working through some tendinitis in the elbow and shoulder and she found some really good knots that she decided have to go. I felt great yesterday after drank plenty of water. I was forewarned that this would happen. It's like the meds you take to cure the disease somehow the trip sucks I'm just hoping for good end results.

Worse is that most of the stuff the cable companies give you is all-in-one, cable modem, router and wifi AP all together. You can't separate them. It's one of several reasons I buy my own hardware.
