Just to be 100% sure - this is a simple plug & play set up that virtually anyone can install and use without having a professional set-up?

It's easy, especially if you mount the controller where I did, don't have to take the dash piece off.

Plug in the pigtail, zip tie it up. Marked the spot on the dash for the two screws with an awl, pre-drilled the holes a bit smaller than the screws and mounted it up.

Yea thanks. Made it home Sunday evening and I was pretty much useless till Tuesday. 31 hours to Cincy, layover to pickup trailer, and 45ish hours back! Don't want to do that again for a while!

Absolutely. Took me about 10 minutes to access and connect the harness plug in my '17. Had it all buttoned up and P3 ready to go in another 10.

All installed! It was easy - only concern was the 2 screws holding in the P3 to the face place. I had to go hand tight as I didn't have an Allen key small enough to get in there...

I also removed the small cover on top of the P3 so it fits into the cubby face plate better.

    Seems to be snug enough.

I Velcroed my controller to the dash speaker cover. Ran harness up a pillar with a coat hanger. It's out of the way and my legs won't hit it entering or exiting truck.

Does that controller need to be level side to side?

Works fine like this. Roads aren't perfectly level...

Cool, who needs instructions anyway. It's just a multi thousand pound object you're pulling along a highway filled with other motorists.

Hopefully I'm only surrounded by bus loads of oarphans and nuns while I'm traveling down the highway.:D

    Just joking around guys.

Instructions say any angle and does not mention any horizontal angle. Velcro is good for ten pounds and is relatively solid. The adhesive will fail before the Velcro breaks free.
