    Stuff. Also things.
Seems like the iffy roller bearing combined with the fact that the CV isn't supported as far out there laterally might have had something to do with your vibe issue.

Tried to use a blind bearing puller, tensioned by the ratchet strap plus the slide hammer... NOTHING.

Anyone have any advice? The puller was tight to the bearing and the slide hammer was able to smash the inner part of the bearing, so it's effectively useless and has not budged one bit.

Are there any pullers that would work better?

A carriage bolt and a flat piece of steel might work. But first you have to remove all the needle bearings. Keep a magnet in there to catch them all.
Then hook the edge of a carriage bolt, sharpen it up on the edge if you need to, and tighten a nut on the other end with the flat piece of steel bridging the hole.

You'll want to hold the end of the carriage bolt with a small set of vise-grips whie you turn the nut otherwise the bolt will walk out of the bearing retainer. You are only going to get a shot or two with this method. You'll half to "walk" it out, a little on each side until it's out.

Here is one pulling a pilot bearing, but that's kind of easy anyway.

Here is one being used to remove a wheel bearing.

Or, after the needles are out, use a punch or chisel and work of some frustration.

This is what you are trying to hook to.
