Nope, probably it. Thanks! Is it fairly easy to get to, or does the wheel need to come off? Prolly wait til I can get it on the lift on Monday then if it does.

I didn't do any measuring just yet, before or after. Probably should have to see exactly.... but the difference was night and day. When you guys do measure, from the ground to the fender? The truck took on such an aggressive look compared to before. well worth the wait to do!

I did it with my wheels on. You can try turning the wheels to access it better. Just take a razor blade and cut the fender liner around the "box" area. Underneath the liner that you've cut out is a box that is bolted on there. Unbolt the bolts and remove the box. No harm is done. I've looked at the 6-luggers fender liners and they have no box, just the holes for the bolts.

    Glad I could help.

The "black box" is about 2"x2". You need to remove three 10mm bolts from both sides (driver and passenger).

I don't think the stock Taco is clownish, it's a very handsome and rugged-looking pickup. But your mods have made it look even better! Good job. Notice any change in fuel economy with the larger tires?

Don't get me wrong, I loved the truck and was very happy with it before the mods took place! I've had it since Feb 2009 with 0 miles til its a year old now with 19000 :(

The truck has gone cross country and back without a single issue! But now with the mods, I think its more visually pleasing since it won't be seeing off road very much and not the most practical. Haven't noticed a gas mileage difference yet, since its only seen 30 miles since completed yesterday. All thats left today is an alignment and then the gas checks begin!

The big thing was the speedometer being off by like 4-8 mph! Any ideas what the easiest way to fix this, I'm guessing the dealer would be useless as usual!

Well pretty much *everyone* is saying that Toyota intentionally has the Tacoma speedometers reading 3-4mph faster than actual speed at 60mph. So your larger tires may bring your actual speed up to what the gauge reads. Do you have a GPS device to check it with? That's probably the most accurate way, aside from waving down a highway patrol officer and flashing them two fives for a speedo check.

Also curious to hear about the performance. That is quite a jump in tire size, but looks very sharp!

Yep, Garmin Nuvi. The higher the speed, the bigger the difference. Looked at Hypertech, but I'm curious if the dealer will adjust them. I'll ask when they do my 20,000 service.

Def need to get around to that! So much to do, so little time and money! :p

Just got my Pioneer AVIC in the mail, now just gotta order components, sub and amp, and of course a box built by Mr. Marv.

Also, have the Bilstein front shocks coming, and skid plate by beefed taco, then maybe, i'll be down for a little break in the project!

Sweet! I was thinking of getting a BeefedTaco skid plate. But Matt (mreimann) will be making me one. Looking forward to pics of your audio setup. Definitely put a build thread together.

    None, yet.
Truck looks good. I just finished putting the lift on my 5-lugger, and I can say, that the $285 you spent for installation of you lift was money well spent. Getting the aal inside the leaf spring pack was a challenge. The front was easy. I kept the stock wheels and put on some 235/75-15 Kuhmo KL78s. I will try to post some pics here shortly.
