    Anyone have an issue with the RCI sliders?
    @Joshp767

    As per instructions there's supposed to be 5 holes that you put the bolts through with the backer plates.

    On mine I've only got 3 holes so far.
    And nothing towards the front of the truck. On the driver side I have one hole in the slider and behind it frame isn't even drilled.

    Passenger side I found two holes right beside each other that the hole in the frame is too small for the bolt to fit through.20170422_110743.jpg 20170422_110749.jpg 20170422_110757.jpg 20170422_110800.jpg 20170422_123110.jpg 20170422_123114.jpg 20170422_123115.jpg 20170422_123120.jpg 20170422_123124.jpg

    I am not going to say this with 100% certainty but I think I recall reading a similar Thread and it was determined that the 17 has a slightly different Frame as far as holes.

    just not sure if I should try drill small then use a step bit or just go up in drill size.

    I know anytime I've had to drill heavy steel like that at work, yes cutting oil is key, plus pressure and slow.
    But not sure if I should go with 1/4 3/8 1/2 5/8
    or just 1/4 then step bit.

    I get them from work so I really don't care if I burn out a step bit lol.

    and which ones should I drill.

    The front one is obvious, but for the second one that's missing not sure.

    I go small and then step bit myself. Still a PITA! I have had my sliders on for over a year and still have two holes to drill...lol

    My '17 bolted up with zero issues. I'm running all of their skids on my truck and everything bolted up smooth as silk.

    Yeah, I jack right off 'em...lol CBI sliders have a ton of bolts, so I am not really worried about it, but I should get to it before the wheeling season begins here.

    I would contact them first. Maybe they pick up different holes than we do but we haven't seen any difference between the '16 and the '17. I wouldn't drill anything until you talk to them unless you just like to drill things. In that case, go for it.

    yep
    5 bolts per slider, instructions say you can drill another two if you want.
