    a co-worker is just telling me that his in laws that are 80, built a house in Utah. It has a 2 level wrap around deck, under house 6 car garage. The mortgage is $4700 a month. Electric bill is $1500 a month.

    They are both retired doctors. aka Ballers!

    If the house is big enough to have an underground 6 car garage, and 2 wrap around decks, id imagine the square footage is pretty big. At least 1 light in every room.. it adds up

    Electricity is extremely high in that area. Not very many power plants so they are typically buying power from other states and "shipping" it in so to say.

    and yea, our little 1400 sq ft house in Hawaii was $500 a month for just electricity... it was terrible. haha
