    mine's not mounted to anyhting just in the storage behind the seat in the back. once the seat is up its not going anywhere.

    It is mounted on a piece of 1/2 plywood painted black. The plywood is mounted to the seat/ storage riser. Then the fire extinguisher bracket is mounted to the plywood. I hope that makes sense.

    Maybe your extinguisher is slightly thinner, because the one I have would come into contact with the seat when folded forward.
