I'm just gonna see where it rubs as I go and accordingly. The guy at the dealership actually did a pretty good job of making nothing rub

I donated them afterwards. Walked back to the truck barefooted.

 

So where I go, I don't want to be surprised by my tire trying to eat parts of the fender out or the fender trying to cut my tires. Spend a little time doing it all and once and you are never surprised and you don't have to keep working on it.

Did they beat down the pinch weld. If you get into it, it will slice right through your tread. It is behind the inner fender, so you might not ruin a tire immediately.

How do I beat it down if they didn't? Do I need to heat it up or something or can I just hit it

 

They didn't. BFH and or grinder.

I see, I think that's actually what I was rubbing on pulling into my driveway. Just warping the plastic with a heat gun fixed the rub getting into my driveway but I imagine that isn't gonna cut it on a trail

I was thinking you were close by for some reason, if you want to make the drive to auburn I'm free most weekends except next. I can head up that way, but I wouldn't be able to till late may.

 

I'm going to Auburn for school in August. Might as well practice the drive lol

 

I need to do the valve cover gasket and while I trust myself to do it and get it right, being that (sadly) would be the first time I've taken anything of an engine physically apart, I would like to have one of you wiser and knowledgeable guys around.
