You got a great truck, my friend. Welcome to TW and just know there are a lot of people on here with a lot of knowledge to draw from. I've learned a ton myself since being on here. With that nice silver paint some black wheels would look sweet. Take care and happy modding!

I've gotta have rear mud flaps to stay legal in Washington.... plus they only rubbed in the front so there wasn't a reason to pull them. I don't think it looks weird at all, though. You can sort of see it in this pic from today...

Nice truck JayMac!! You're right, don't look too bad.. but really?? You need flaps in the back in Washington? Do you know why?

In Jersey here, I don't think there's a law for that, but then again, I'm a noob when it comes to trucks!

Makes sense. I feel like I see your name everywhere though.

Without a doubt. That thread should come with a warning label.

Thank you, sir! She's coming along just fine. And it's just a Washington State Patrol requirement to reduce spray when it rains... plus it helps reduce rock kicking and such. I really don't mind the rear flaps staying.

And just google it! That's how I found out if I could keep them or pull them....

No, mainly on road with light if any off-roading.. but is it better to have all terrain or highway all season? We get decent snow here in winter. But is the at worth it when I have 82 miles a day to commute? If it's not gonna change MPG but improve traction overall then I'd rather go with the AT..

I went with the tall & skinny option: Cooper ST MAXX in 255/85r16. They're excellent in every situation that they've encountered. Amazing in snow and rain. Great on the highway. Surprisingly quiet for such aggressive tires. Smooth ride.

That being said, I don't commute that far, but I do a lot of road trips in the truck. I've put about 800 miles on her in the last week alone. I like that my tires are ready for anything, plus I'm very happy with the look of them. I did a TON of research before hand and I'm quite pleased with the results.

Is it ok on these Tacos to go up in size? I have the 265/65/17, how much larger can I go without affecting the vehicle too much??

That's part of the research process... totally depends on the size that you want to go with. I knew that I wouldn't have to do much trimming and that I'd end up with everything that I wanted in tires. My tires are technically 33s, which generally require a fair amount of cutting, but I get around it because mine are actually tall and skinny. If you go wide, you have to cut pretty quickly.
