    How many folks have experienced this problem (and benefited from the fix) on 3rd gen OR? My vibes started a couple of weeks ago and keep getting worse - especially tough in the steering wheel where I can now feel my arms and hands buzzing for an hour after a long highway trip... driving me nuts

    Pretty much all 3rd gen owners who have had the vibes-post Lift have had it fixed by ECGS Bushing when they installed it. @swimmer had the problem on his third gen and his truck isn't even lifted.

    I leave it in the hub, unbolt only the sway bar link and the lower ball joint. I use a striker prybar and heavy hammer to knock the axle out and rest it below the diff.

    I just wanted to let others know that I found this installer kit at Harbor freight and it fits the bushing perfect. It was $31 and change with the usual harbor freight 20% coupon discount. And a free LED flashlight LOL . It's a pretty nice kit I put a little anti-seize on that bolt in the end of the driver.

    Several good youtube videos... The CV axle has not changed since 2005 or 2006 I think. I replaced my CV axle because of a damaged boot... it was almost cheaper to replace the axle and it was a lot easier to change out the whole axle.... boot replacement sucked from every thing I saw. Pops out pretty easy on a new truck You will lose some fluid, but I'd just drain and refill the differential after installing the EGCS bushing.

    Well, just checked my driver's side front axle. Is the the issue that everyone is having? I did notice a vibration after my lift, but I though it was just possibly out of balance tires.

    Yes you should drain OEM fluid and refill with 85-140 Lucas heavy duty

    Just did it today on a 2nd gen...

    I got lucky and had a nice issue with mine, something to keep in mind if you are at the auto parts store anyways, may be a good idea to have a blind hole bearing puller on hand.

    My bearing was pushed all the way back... 3/8" ish id guess further than it should've been (should sit flush with the face behind the seal). The CV has not been removed since it left the factory (Texas build) and I've complained to the dealer about vibrations since day 1. The special tool didnt work because there was not a gap behind the bearing. Ended up using the blind hole bearing puller to grab it. It still took a GOOD amount of work to get it out. Did a 2009 today as well and his bearing was correctly installed from the factory and it came out nice and easy with the removal tool.

    It would've been easy to do with the CV still installed in the hub, but due to the issue with the bearing, ended up taking out the CV to make space.

    I'm pretty much set on doing this now. I'm not sure this is the cause of my vibs but for the price I might as well do it to rule out the possibility. I don't feel the vibs in my hands, only in the gas pedal. But everytime I determine its just the road it makes it feel like its from the engine. Putting it in 4 Hi doesn't seem to change the feeling one bit. Like I said for the price I suppose i'll do it and move on.
