What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Color matched over the chrome? I have been looking for a factory color matched grill surround but if it csn be done ove chrome that puts me closer to accomplishing the look I am going for

 

Did the noise start right after you changed pads? Could be the pads shifting, common issue you should be able to find with a search.

If no, jack the front tire off the ground with the jack bearing on the bottom of the knuckle (lower control arm where the caliper attaches) so the suspension remains under compression. Grab the tire at 12 and 6 and then 3 and 9 and shake it hard each direction. If it moves left to right it is a wheel bearing, if it goes up and down it is likely a ball joint, usually on the upper control arm.

 

Yes I noticed with the change in brake pads only, but that's awesome info to help me diagnose. If the pad is loose, do I just get a new shim or what? I will do a search

I added some trim pieces from the interior that were missing from when I got it

 

Almost got into an accident on the road. Not because I was texting, or even because I saw a babe at a stoplight, but because I was admiring another Tacoma. Note to self: admire Tacomas when parked.

 

Hit all 5 zerks on my drive shafts. 4-5 pumps per u-joint before fresh grease (Mobil 1) appeared.

 

cleaned her up a tad

 

Debadged and rebadged wife's sr5 Off road stickers. Added 10whp I believe.

Just used my pressure washer on my weather tech floor mats and bed mat. Nice and clean!

 

Replaced oil.

Replaced the missing front splash guard.

Added the TRD skid plate.

Started diagnosing where my AC leek is by charging it back up with dye. Here's hoping it's a hose, or o-ring and not the compressor!

Drained the coolant, filled it up with cleaner + deionized water for next weekend.

 

Color matched grill last night came out ok:/ not to my standards but it's all good

Got the center of my grill out, sanded and cleaned up the lines, and the painted satin black to give a nice finished look.
