Have a sub without sacrificing seating access cab only

Basslink sub by Infinity is a 10'' self powered enclosure that fits perfectly on the backing inbetween the rear seats if you have an access cab. It looks good too.Just support the bottom of it with a rod. Ebay $200

There is a company that makes a prefab lower door panel for the access cabs that holds i think a 6 1/2 mid as well as a 10" woofer in each rear door. real clean looking.

 

my daughters ride back there. They have plenty of room. It does sound a little bassy in the back, but I didn't by it for them.

No one rides in the back of my truck. That's why I went with an access cab. I have an 8" JL sub on the floor behind my passenger seat. If I ever have kids I figure I'll be done with systems, at least subs so I wouldn't be worried about it then. Don't want bass pounding in my kids faces lol.

 

It fits a lot more snug with the carpet on, but with as far back as the seats are they hold it on the sides. One of these days I'm gonna get it recarpeted...

 

if it's the ported one that looks very slim, I'm basing my 6.5" E.D. sub on that one.

Thanks. It's nowhere near perfect, but it's good enough. The box used to have an ED 6.5" firing down, then I got the Kicker and decided to reuse the same box since the airspace was pretty close.

 

WTF!!!!! nice. what did you use to plug the ED sub hole?

 

If you look at the picture, you can see the piece of MDF on the bottom is a different shade. I pulled off the piece with the hole in it and cut a new one.

Nope. There's no carpet on in the picture...just bits of fuzz. I either need to build a new box or get Marv to make me one. With the Kicker firing up, the box doesn't need to have any open space between it and the floor
