Morels aren't associated with poop for the record :)
They grow around the roots of some tree species and "eat" decaying wood, at least for part of their life cycle

Pulled pork was good, my best yet. Ate a bunch, and delivered some to family and friends. Have about 6 lbs to freeze tomorrow.

Brisket flat was ok. Decided I'm only doing full packers from now on.

A tiny bit, center wasn't fully rendered, but about 95% there. I pulled it at 210 it, and it tested ok. Was just a huge pain getting it to temp today, finally wrapped and put it in the oven to finish it off, so I thought. Flavor was good, bark was good, just that tiny bit dry. Maybe I'm being too hard on myself, but I could have got a full packer for like $10 more.

    I did the 2-2-1 method

For the first two hours i was ranging around 250 degrees.

For the second two hours i was about 230 - 240 degrees. .wrapped in foil.

After i took them out of the foil, they were VERY moist. Dripping moist..

I then did one hour without foil and basted it w bbq sauce.. the temp was about 225 the whole time..

Did you spritz? I donwith apple juice. I like em a little moist as well. I basically do 2.5-2-.5. That last .5 just firms them back up and cooks the sauce a little. Now I just eat em with no sauce. It's worked for me.

I spray after an hour, then 1.5 hours in. Then spray some in the foil as well. So it isn't that much. Crack lid, spray em down, put lid back on.

There are several recipes for different foiling juices on the net, but I just use apple juice and a little of the rub.
