Derped the chrome on my grill. Temporary fix until I buy a color-matched surround.

I could never get rid of the axle wrap or vibrations with the OEM setup. I must have adjusted it 30+ times. Tom woods told me that they have about a 85% success rate at fixing these problems on Tacoma's.

The normal shaft they make requires the rear axle to be at the same angle as the transfer case. The one that I got is a double carden which requires about a 3 degree shim to put the rear end as close to the same angle as the shaft itself.

After the install I have zero axle wrap and zero vibes with it by the way. That also have a money back guarantee. If it doesn't work well for you, send it back for a full refund. Awesome company.

What kit is this? This is EXACTLY what I want to do? How as installation? I'm a bit hesitant to do it myself.

Awesome. My brother was stationed in Heidelburg (spelling?) Germany for a year. He said it was a tough assignment, especially with Oktoberfest and all. ;)

A fix for axle wrap? I have so much of that! Was thinking custom traction bar, but your way sounds easier

Just running the wires and what not has me worried. Do they simply plug into the stock stereo unit? I've looked at that kit and it's around $350 on Amazon, but I'm unsure if that's the kit he's running.

If you're using a stock head unit you will need a line out converter. The line out converter (LOC) taps into your door speaker wires and makes an RCA output that you need for the amps sound.
Then you just need to run a fused power wire from the battery to the amp.
Ground wire from the amp to a good ground on the truck. I used a seat bolt behind my rear seats.
Remote wire from a switched ignition source to the amp. This turns the amp on when you start the vehicle.
RCA wires from the LOC to the amp. Connect the wires from your subs to the amp.
Then you just adjust your gain controls on your amp and you'll need to adjust the LOC a little as well.
    It's really easy.

... It's in the process... but look what just showed up at my front door. Had just gotten back from a run, almost puked on the fedex guy but still stoked! ... First I need to figure out how to mount this sweet old thule rack I picked up off CL for 30 bucks onto the cap. I've got some ideas. :) Time to get to rigging.
