Getting the cats deleted??

 

What are you doing?

 

Cats are staying on, but if I get this job in Oklahoma they will most definitely be getting deleted (no state inspections ).

I got a Black Widow muffler that one of my friends used to run, but he wanted something louder so he just gave it to me. He ended up getting two Cherry Bombs for his truck...

 

You can delete the cats in texas and still pass emissions.

They only do a visual inspection for cats in Texas. So as long as you don't have a CEL on, you're golden. That's how my V passed.

 

The cats on the tacoma are attached to the headers. So you would have to replace the headers with long tube headers.

Yeah I know with my dad's Vette he just has a code jammer on his computer, lol. I'm assuming the CEL won't come on on the Toyota? Or is there a plug that needs to be modified?

There is no way anyone can look under my z to see if there is or isn't a cat

Yeah, my dad's is so low that Jiffy Lube couldn't pull it up in the bay to look at it, so they just passed him instead of actually doing the emissions portion of the inspection.

 

Oh, I would have stayed a little. But drank way to much that day. Started drinking two beers at a time. Till it was time to leave. Lol

 

Generally you would need to get a tuner to turn off the CEL with a cat delete(at least in my car)not sure on the Tacoma setup.

 

I drank too much that day and this last Saturday. Basically if I start my day hanging out with Dennis I'm going to be drinking all day.

 

Considering the Toyota computers are hard to crack, I assumed that a hardware fix was the only way!
